 yes, i associate that desire to ultimately provide a temporary retreat from the reality of the challenge - which, of course, must still be dealt with. it's just that sometimes we don't feel like dealing with shit immediately & must "prepare" for battle in our own way.

 Often, But at my age to indulge in my fantasies can lead to more stress. But the craving for that special person is ever there in my dreams, whether those dreams are an ideal or just an implant from our youth, it doesn't really matter cause it is what we all seek.
Mutual understanding and that shoulder that we can cry on, ear that is open to our thoughts is a wish we all need to make us whole no matter how much of a player you maybe we all crave that special someone.(in one form or other)I am nonjudgmental on how you find it if it work for you both.
