So even the bet of plans

I usually have a plan B and sometimes a plan C in place when I travel and expect to meet a little friend for play time. I really felt it was not necessary this time. The girl sent me a copy of her plane ticket and sent me a text as she was on her way to the airport. Then all communication stopped. I had set up an appointment for her for a massage and mani-pedi at one of the top spas in Chicago. I made reservations at arguably the best steakhouse in Chicago. I was pumped. She said she was on her way.

Then a no-show. And no communication. Seems she had a<b> hello kitty </font></b>mace on her key chain. Airport Security took her aside and went through all her stuff and searched her. She missed her flight. She was going to be on the 7:14 flight, but that got cancelled.

I am sure the flight was cancelled. But the rest? Is it true? It is quite a story. Very plausible.I will give her the benefit of any doubt, but will probably never schedule to see her again. Is that mean? Maybe. Is it wrong? Maybe. Tell me what you think. Am I back to self-service?

There has to be some humor in this somehow. Just does not seem to be my day. On top of that I was at a reception this evening and someone bumped me and I spilled my red wine all over my shirt. I had declined three dinner reservations because I expected my friend to be here. Guess I eat by myself.
