To Join or not Have been debating for a while in spending the money join and become a gold member. More for the IM and ability actually speaking people more than anything else. I have been on here for quite some time and have used all my points up , down 5, LOL. Just not sure its worth the time, the effort and the money. Any thoughts??? |

I'm just throwing out my own personal opinion here (which, you're asking our thoughts and feedback about)... If your main reasons of thinking of joining are for IM and interacting with other people, then I'd personally say 'NOT'. Here's why... *This entire site is under constant refining and nearly every function of this site has been monetized in a system of limitations and restrictions, per each person's membership level and per their amount of paid points they have in the game of tipping that has been structured here in the recent past (probably within the last year). * Because of this restructured system of points/tipping, very few people can actually afford to fluidly interact with one another. In short, it's a complete disaster! First, the IM system uses this system of points to interact with others (15 points). But wait!!!! The system is a two-party system of points. Huh?!? What?!?! So that means that if I was trying to write someone an IM, I'd have to spend 15 of my points to send a message to them.....then in turn, the recipient would also have to spend 15 of their own points to be able to open/read/reply back to me. WTF!?!??! There is literally almost nobody (i.e.: women) who is going to do that!!!! Then, judging on the fact that about 99.9% of those who contact us never bother to read profiles, contact us irrelevantly with idiocy and pure nonsense, then there is literally no reason a woman is going to pay for points to then spend them on an endless parade of losers who continually don't read and contact us with pure nonsense all of the time. The system is MASSIVELY flawed!!!! Since the introduction of tipping to the IM service, my IM incoming volume went from astronomical and overwhelming numbers (dozens upon dozens in a given day), to only a handful almost overnight. The site creates these catch 22 scenarios, too. So I can detail my profile with the do's and dont's, yet if most of the population on site are standards and don't have the ability to read (or are purely ignorant, which most are), then anything I took the time to detail is merely useless if nobody can/will read profiles PRIOR to contacting me. So again, I'm left to deal with idiotic incoming messages that there is no way in hell I'd pay for points to waste away on men who are ignorant, rude, don't care about anyone/anything, waste my time, waste my effort, dispose of me like trash, etc... What's the incentive here? None! All of these things directly contribute to why the IM (and site as a whole) is a skeleton of what it used to be in it's golden years. There is next to no potential to do anything on here these days, even if that means simple and basic interacting. So, no, I would personally not recommend an upgrade if the sole reason you intend is to IM/interact with others because of the fact that nobody else can/will and nobody else is willing to pay tips to deal with irrelevant inquiry over and over again. It's a complete monetized mess around here anymore.

Truthfully, if you are going to commit for the year contract, it is really not that much of an expense. One fewer pints at the Bier Stube a month if you include tip, or not taking your self out a movie one time that month, really pretty easy to justify if all you are wanting is greater access to people you plan to never meet. I would do it in a heartbeat or would not have let mine go if the site were actually able to allow me to introduce myself to people who I am actually excited to meet, the site fails to deliver any value what so ever. I guess I might accept free gold, but that is about all it is worth to me. Not the Whole Truth but the truth that I can see.

i miss being instantly naughty on the IM but folks on IM tend to want a hookup more than what i am seeking i'm looking for a regular with time outside of bed like lunch i had an ice breaker on my old acct LOUD & OFTEN and was on IM a lot for now i'm a standard member i think about going gold but i'm going to see if i can get laid without it so far the answer is no a few leads but flakes
