Jungle Pam and the Origin of Consciousness

I usually don't talk about it, so let's keep this just btwn the two of us.
I had a light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel experience. Problem was, I was shooting down the tunnel too fast and there was not enough light at the other end. All I remember was that it too fast and it was not ok. There was no physical sensation, only consciousness. And the consciousness was aware that the physicality was absent, that it was only consciousness traveling down the tunnel. Only it wasn't a tunnel, it was a black hole, sucking consciousness into it. And I didn't want to go there. That's all I can say about it as that's all that consciousness was aware of.

Thanks for telling your story. It's fascinating. I've only had an out of body experience while meditating. I don't think any of the discussion about consciousness is necessarily religious or spiritual, but because of the mystery of it all it feels spiritual. There might be, and probably is, some mechanistic explanation for how consciousness arises but at present it's nearly an imponderable.
