New subject...old fashioned courting...an antiquated gesture?

. I was raised in sort of an old fashioned way(get the car door, pick someone up for a date, bring flowers, hold the door, pull the seat). I hear people say all the time they are old fashioned and they expect certain things.... Why do people equate talking on the phone with the old fashioned way of courting? I mean if it was taught to you or you grew up with it...how was it looked upon when a man picked up the phone and called a woman(an when he didn't) when there was nothing else available to do?...i.e. , email, ...

 What a great way to treat dates and communicate.
Don't know if you'll find anyone here that thinks that way anymore.
Phone calls answered a lot of questions that texting doesn't
even come close answering.
Do you really think that people who have to hide who they are
going to go as far as letting someone find out?

 Unfortunately I don't think anyone goes courting anymore, I think everyone wants everything NOW , and faffing about courting delays the hopefully inevitable.
I wish more people would court others, and I commend you for your thoughtfulness and manners
